A Surrey Garden Wedding - Natalie and Nick

Wedding Photographer in Dorking

Natalie and Nick were married in the beautiful Surrey countryside near Dorking. I have absolutely loved working with Natalie and Nick, they have a beautiful contagious energy. I first met them during our pre-shoot so I knew this was going to be a super fun wedding. The wedding itself involved lots of hard work from the guys themselves and their family and friends which meant the locations and all the details were absolutely amazing and really added that personal touch.

Both Natalie and Nick were getting ready at Logmore Farm, a lovely set of cottages ideal for relaxing before the day ahead and just moments away from Nicks parents house where the ceremony took place.

Surrey Garden Wedding

What a ceremony it was as well, amazing heartfelt speeches and readings all brilliantly organised and what a setting next to an outstanding oak tree.

After drinks, some group shots and the cutting of the cake we headed to the nearby Holmbury St Marys which is situated next to the opening of an impressive woodland clearing, a photographers dream! Again the venue had been beautifully decorated by Natalie's mum and dad which really transformed the look of the room. There was a delicious meal, great speeches and all rounded off by an impressive first dance by Natalie and Nick, my hat is well and truly off to you!

It was then the turn of a Ceilidh band to get the guests into a spin, sometimes quite literally and dance away into the night. Thanks guys for inviting me to be a part of your special day, I had a brilliant time. I hope you enjoyed looking at some of the photos from the day.

The Amadeus Wedding Photography - David and Lizzie

David and Lizzie were married at the majestic Westminster Cathedral in the heart of London. What a truly stunning building and setting for a wedding with it's imposing architecture and overall essence of grandeur and it was a joy to photograph there.

I started the day with Lizzie at her parents house in Hammersmith where it was nicely chilled with Lizzie's close family in attendance.

Wedding Photography at Westminster Cathedral

As time just flies by on a wedding it wasn't long till we were whisked off to the Cathedral where David and guests were already congregated in the Lady Chapel. It's quite a walk from the entrance to the chapel for any last minute nerves. David was ready waiting and a wonderful service by Father John followed which ended with a fantastic musical rendition from Lizzie's sister.

Wedding Portraits at Little Venice

It was such a wonderful day weather wise so we made sure we made the most of it by stopping off at Little Venice in Maida Vale to take some portraits of the newly weds. I know the area well as its one of my favourite walks in London by Regents Canal but had never took any photographs there so was a perfect place to stop on the way to the Amadeus.

The Amadeus Wedding Photography

The Amadeus in Madia Vale is a great place for a wedding reception. Consisting of an upper and lower hall with impressive Victorian architecture and truly brought to life with some amazingly atmospheric lighting by RedCat Lighting. Venues with lighting like this really get the creative juices flowing. With wonderful planning and coordination from Lindy Dowling events the day went very smoothly and the venue looked stunning. I love it when a dance floor has a good energy and I wasn't disappointed here. I loved being part of your day and I hope you enjoyed the little sneak peak of the day.

The Bingham Wedding Photography

The Bingham hotel in the beautiful Richmond-Upon-Thames is a premium hotel and provides a magical setting for a wedding. Situated on the banks of the thames with wonderful views of the river from the balcony. The garden gets bathed in some of the most amazing light you can get which means you have all the perfect ingredients for a fantastic celebration.

This was a super relaxed wedding with only family and close friends attending the ceremony, which was a beautifully intimate affair with a couple of lovely readings before Jenny and Steve had a confetti shower walking back down the isle. Drinks and canapés were then held on the balcony. The weather wasn't always the kindest but with the balcony being covered you can get outside whatever the wedding which was a bonus.

The balcony was also the location for the fantastic BBQ that was served. We were all treated to some genuine heartfelt speeches that kept everyone entertained before the evening celebrations where everyone could let themselves go on the dance floor!

What a day, what a couple and what a venue! If you are getting married at The Bingham then drop me a line so we can chat all things wedding!

Greyfriars House Wedding Photography - Sarah and Anthony

Want a perfect view over the Surrey hills and countryside? Then you don't have to look much further than Greyfriars House, a beautifully restored mansion near Guildford which is now a spectacular wedding venue. The house has a great mix of old and new decor with a well laid out ceremony room and a cosy bar with ample space outside for your wedding guests to mingle. Throw into the mix some beautiful landscaped gardens as a stunning backdrop to your wedding photographs then this is a venue to really get excited about.
Sarah and Anthony had a lovely church ceremony. There were some really touching readings which led to a marvellous atmosphere inside the church.

The weather was wonderful so we all made full use of those gardens. There are so many places around the venue where you can get some amazing couple photographs. The entrance to Greyfriars itself is so impressive, you can't help but be blown away as you approach the venue.

Wedding party

Everyone got into the spirit and ripped it up on the dance floor. It was an incredibly fun and relaxed afternoon and evening with one of the busiest dance floors I've seen for a while. With plenty to keep everyone entertained inside and outside of the house all the guests were having a right blast.

It was a privilege to be a part of Sarah and Anthony's fun filled wedding. I hope these photographs from the day show the fun and excitement had by all.
If you are getting married at Greyfriars House or in Surrey and the South East then give me a call. I would love to hear your plans.

The Winding House Wedding Photography - Hannah and Tom

One of the perks of this job is you get to photograph at some amazing wedding venues. The Winding House is definitely one of them. An impressive victorian converted coal heritage building in the Kent countryside. Think grand designs with its contemporary interior, high ceilings, exposed bricks and white walls. A stunning setting for a wedding with an abundance of natural light so even on a not so nice September day it was a joy to photograph in.

Hannah and Tom were both getting ready at the White Cliffs hotel in nearby Dover, Hannah and her bridesmaids upstairs in the top room while Tom and the boys mainly downstairs by the bar.

With the weather so rubbish there was no hanging around at The Winding House, straight inside to mingle with the guests. The bridal party did extremely well to not go flying when entering the house over the walkway. This was my first time photographing a Jewish ceremony so the first time I'd witnessed smashing the glass at the end of a ceremony and Tom did a fine job!

After the ceremony and meal accompanied by some heartfelt emotional speeches it was time for the Hora which from the look of Hannah and Tom's face's i'm still unsure whether it was a pleasant experience or not.

Lucy at Wildbloom did a marvellous job with the flowers and thanks to Denise from one love pictures for assisting me on the day. This was a great wedding for me to photograph, an incredible couple, very accommodating with a great set of family and friends and all happening in a perfect venue with great light. If you are getting married at The Winding House then don't hesitate to get in touch for a chat.
